The approach we take
Traditionally independent financial advisers and wealth management companies have been transactional led, meaning that they have a significant input in the early stages of product selection and purchase but have very little client contact beyond this point. The Ocaris approach is very different, and our clients are always assured of the highest standard of care and attention at all times.
At Ocaris Wealth Management the proposition focuses on the relationship with our clients. Our relationship is the priority and at Ocaris we believe that the person is the plan. The team are proactive in our engagement, and regular review meetings will ensure that the initial and subsequent recommendations remain appropriate and on track towards your life aspirations. We take an active role in the ongoing portfolio governance by monitoring the performance and service provided by our investment partners. The Ocaris Investment Committee facilitates much of this governance.

Face to face meetings
We believe in meeting clients in person. All our new clients are offered an initial face to face meeting at no charge. We recommend that subsequent review meetings are also conducted in person and are costed through the fee structure agreed with clients at the outset of the advice process.

Broad and diverse Investment Committee
Our Investment Committee was established to initially select and monitor on an ongoing basis the performance and service provided by our investment partners. The committee adds another layer of security and confidence for our clients. We meet formally once a month and will always invite external fund managers or investment specialists to provide us with relevant updates on world markets and other valuable economic information.
We are a group of individuals with a very keen interest in investment principles and worldwide investment markets. Although we have a significant internal knowledge bank and a broad range of experience, we like to receive assurances that our investment methodology remains relevant and that our partnerships remain best of breed. We achieve this by appointing external industry experts to the Investment committee including research and data houses.

Suitability
Not all clients have the same appetite for risk, not all clients have an active interest in the underlying investment vehicles being used. At the end of the day the person is the plan and if it is appropriate to recommend a simple passive investment rather than an active discretionary portfolio we will do so.
We have the expertise to recognise when either is appropriate.
